Citrefine was founded over 25 years ago, by a specialist in tropical medicine who recognized the need for an effective and naturally sourced option to protect from biting mosquitoes that may transmit disease.

Steam distillation is used to extract the oil which is an age-old process using only the leaves and twigs of the trees while allowing the tree to continue growing.
Waste leaves are the only fuel used for the burners and surplus waste is returned to the plantation to fertilise and condition the soil
